HISTORY of TAROT
Tarot card first known as trionfi and later as tarocchi, which commonly consists of 78 cards, used from the 14th century in various part of Europe.
From the late 18th century until the present time the tarot has also found use by mystics and occultists in efforts at divination or as a map of mental
and spiritual pathways. Tarot card reading has existed for several decades and now, it is used to predict impending events in life. The famous divination instrument also serves as a map of mental and psychical passage.
Tarot cards which also identified as Divination Card or Meditation Cards by different individual; consists of more than thousands different
images. These decks are categorized under theme names. The few commons are Angle, Animal, Chinese, Celtic, Ancient Egyptian, Rider Waite and Clones and many more.
Tarot is a set of seventy-eight cards, each featuring different symbolic pictures.
A standard Tarot deck is made up of:-
- Major Arcana or Trumps Suits - 22 cards
- Minor Arcana - 56 cards (consists of four suits of 14
cards; which has a numbering from Ace to 10 and a 4 face cards.
The 4 suits wands, cups, swords and pentacles (coins).
